Anxiety can be tough to live with. A little anxiety is normal and even helpful to energize and motivate us. But when anxiety increases too much it can be crippling. It prevents us from being our best, enjoying life, and just doing our normal day-to-day activities. We can find ourselves feeling more overwhelmed, alone, and isolated. From mild worry and rumination, to full-blown panic attacks, there are many forms of anxiety that can interrupt our quality of life and ability to enjoy our lives.

Living in NYC, anxiety can seem like a normal part of life. Doesn’t everyone have anxiety? Is this normal anxiety or is this more serious? Is there something wrong with me? Is life supposed to feel like this? Sometimes it can be difficult to know when it has become “problem” anxiety. These are the questions and thoughts many people wonder about and that bring them to therapy.

In our first session, I will do an evaluation and help you understand the ways anxiety may be affecting your life. I utilize a collaborative and active approach to help you understand your anxiety, what your triggers are, and how to cope through various tools and skills. Whether it is more generalized anxiety or more severe panic attacks, we will work together on a tangible plan to help you learn how to manage, cope with, and even master your anxiety and stress.
